"The Mission of the Association is to promote art education in Pinellas County through
professional development, service, advancement of knowledge and leadership."
"Art ... It's a whole-brainer!"
Welcome to a new year. With preschool and district, wide training already behind us, the year is already moving at warp speed. As the seasons of the year change so do things in both our personal and professional lives. Our current PAEA president, Lindsay Waguespack was given an opportunity to move in a different direction in her professional career. As Lindsay moves forward with this change, PAEA supports her and wishes her continued success, she will be sorely missed. As a result of this loss I will continue as PAEA president for another year and will be followed by president-elect, Latonya Hicks.
The PAEA board is pushing ahead with a full schedule of
commitments. We will to continue plan
for the yearly art shows, designing our t-shirts and thanks to the increase in support from PAEA memberships we are able to increase our student recognition with more awards and scholarships. The next two years Pinellas is the hosting
county for our FAEA conference. Always know that you may contact anyone on
the PAEA board if you have any questions or are in need of anything. If we can’t help you, we can always point you
in the correct direction.
Sincerely,
Karen Santangelo
PAEA President (January 2018)
