WELCOME TO THE 2019-20 YEAR!


Let's welcome our new president, Latonya Hicks!


Latonya has been a Pinellas County teacher for 13 years and currently teaches IB Art, AP Art, 2D Art and Dance at Largo High School.  She joined PAEA in 2015 and served as one of our High School Representatives as well as on many committees.  Latonya received her B.F.A. degree from Florida State University and her Masters of Fine Arts from a dual program Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She is currently a member of the Florida Art Education Association in the position of District Assembly Representative and an AP Reader.


We have lots of fun things planned out for the year- so stay tuned!

JONATHAN OGLE!


Jonathan has taught art from PreK to the collegiate level throughout his 21-year career. He currently is the PreK-12 Visual Arts Specialist (Supervisor) for Pinellas County Schools. Jonathan was a semifinalist for Pinellas County Teacher of the Year in 2010. He previously served on the PAEA Board for 10 years as President and Elementary Representative, and now returns as the organization’s Advisor. He graduated with a B.A. in Art Education K-12 and a B.A. in Elementary Classroom Education K-6 from Upper Iowa University, and then went on to earn his M.A. in Art Education from Iowa State University.
